Act Five Tuition & Fees
At Act Five, there is HUGE value packed into eight months. Consistently, our graduates demonstrate:
- High engagement in faith communities & postsecondary pathways locally and globally
- High acceptance rates and scholarships awarded in postsecondary institutions
- Mature faith, character and interpersonal skills
2026-2027 Tuition & Program fees – $9800
What this includes:
- Dynamic educational program, courses, supplies, faculty & regular community activities
- Wilderness trips, farm trips, retreats, indigenous learning trips, conferences, and all other travel – total of 10+ overnight trips over 8 months
- High levels of staff support, expertise, training and mentorship
- 8-week field placement coordination, support and supervision
- A long-term community of support & opportunities as Act Five alumni
2025-2026 Room and Board – $9700
Costs of 8 months of housing, residence life support and all food, including groceries and meals out.
Service Trips
Act Five students will be seen as volunteers on these trips through various charities, and they will be asked to fundraise in support of these charities and their service trip activities, with amounts ranging between $2000 and $3500.
2024-2025 gap year students paid an average of $13,800 for tuition and room and board thanks to financial aid.
2026-2027 Financial Aid
While recognizing the high value of Act Five ($30,000+ in value per participant), we are committed to ease the barrier of costs for all who join our program.
ACT FIVE FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE
Thanks to the gifts of generous donors, Act Five is able to offer Financial Assistance based on individual need. For the 2025-2026 program year, Act Five distributed $20,000 in financial aid among 9 students.
If you are applying to Act Five and want to be considered for financial assistance, please complete our Financial Aid Form before April 30, 2026. Funding is distributed on a case-by-case basis.
Sponsorship through “Sending Community”
Through church communities, denominations, family or schools, several Act Five students are “sent” to Act Five by their home communities.
Act Five will work with incoming students to write letters, prepare presentations and facilitate conversations to garner support from their “sending communities”.
Other Scholarships / Bursaries
There are awards available through different organizations for those participating in programs such as this – reach out if you need help finding these!
2026-27 Payment Schedule*
* The above payments are non-refundable as of the dates listed and are adapted based on financial aid received.
- June 1, 2026 – $500 Deposit ($350 toward your first term tuition and $150 as a refundable security deposit)
- August 1, 2026 – $4650 for Remaining First Term Tuition & Fees plus $4850 for Room & Board
- December 1, 2026 – $4900 for Second Term Tuition & Fees plus $4850 for Room & Board
- Details regarding contributions/fundraising for partner charities to support January service trips will be provided as available.
Payments can be made to Act Five Initiatives with online banking (e-transfers), Pre-Authorized Direct Debit (PAD), or cheque. Questions regarding payments can be directed to finance@actfive.ca.
